Jerry Cantrell and the crew from Alice in Chains have remained fairly quiet in 2017, but they're ready for the spotlight again, as the guys just announced their first North American headlining tour dates of 2018. The short tour will kick off April 28 in Boston, and take the band through Syracuse, New York; Toronto, Canada; Washington, D.C.; New York City; Atlanta; Chicago; and South Bend, Indiana. For ticket information, head to AliceinChains.com.
In addition to the headlining tour dates, Alice in Chains will perform at a bevy of music festivals in 2018, including Rock on the Range, Carolina Rebellion and Northern Invasion.
As for new music, it's coming. Band members have slowly been issuing updates about the new sounds, and the guys are reportedly recording the new tunes at Studio X in Seattle with longtime producer Nick Raskulinecz, who produced the group's previous two studio albums, 2009's Black Gives Way To Blue and The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here.
In addition to playing their own shows over the past few years, Alice in Chains were also the first band tapped to open for Guns N' Roses on their Not In This Lifetime Tour back in 2016.
